Welcome to the Human Prototype blog, a space where the past and present converge to showcase the evolution of a life in progress. Inspired by my TEDx talk, "I am a Prototype," this blog is part of a broader journey of transformation through journaling, capturing the essence of living as a perpetual prototype. Each week, during 2024, I reviewed my archives from 2016, contrasting journal scans filled with drawings against the backdrop of my current experiences.

Befriend the Word Polarize

Then: October 31- November 6, 2016

Continuing my meditation practice with the gift to have access to the peaceful beach, blue sky and gentle sunshine before going to work. I think this has played a key role in setting me up for a very transformative 2017.
A few highlights I remember:
  • After a break from CrossFit due to my injury, I returned to my local CrossFit gym and trained with the lovely Sam for a few months. It felt great to get back into the rhythm and reconnect with the community.
  • I took my younger colleagues on a field trip to a packaging supplier, sharing the magic of printing and die-cutting with them!
  • I had a call with Sanjay, a fellow packaging professional, about facilitating a workshop in Prague at the end of the month. Exciting times ahead!
  • I continued my habit of walking in the evenings while listening to podcasts, highlighting one with Celine Schillinger about the innovation ecosystem. I don’t recall the exact content, but it was incredibly insightful and sparked new ideas for me.
  • I noticed that the three podcasts I listened to were all related to design and innovation, a topic still close to my heart today. Investing time in learning more about these areas, whether through podcasts or reading the Harvard Business Review, has significantly influenced my career path and creative projects.
  • It looks like on Sunday, I baked some muffins. It doesn’t say if they turned out well though! (I’m not a baker.)

Now: November 4-10, 2024

In this week’s voice-over, I reflect on health updates, work progress, personal milestones, and intriguing synchronicities. Here’s a snapshot of the highlights:
  • Health & Logistics: Started the week with a blood test and a memorable walk past Buckingham Palace, reminding me of the beauty of living in London. Navigating the healthcare system is still a learning curve, but it came with a moment of appreciation for the city.
  • Work & Growth: Presented my work with a mindset of “peaceful authority,” which brought unexpectedly positive feedback. I’ve been practicing aligning my actions with my higher self by waking up in my “golden timeline,” a daily experiment that has been grounding and fulfilling.
  • Challenges & Emotional Moments: Experienced pain at the dentist, which led to tears—sometimes emotions just need to flow.
  • Social Life: Enjoyed moments with colleagues and friends, including a lovely day trip to Bath, complete with sightseeing and historical exploration.
  • Milestone Achievement: Sold my first set of Integration Conversation Cards, handmade with love to help people process their shamanic and psychedelic journeys. It was a proud moment that validated my efforts.
  • Synchronicities: Encountered recurring signs, including pulling the same Oracle card, “Befriend the Word Polarize,” three times in a week. The card’s message about authenticity resonated deeply. Additionally, I heard from three former romantic connections—a curious twist suggesting my heart might be “open for business.”
  • Creative Endeavors: Started promoting my cards through Instagram reels. It’s a new step to connect with people and share their purpose.
Thank you for being here, and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead! 💖
