Welcome to the Human Prototype blog, a space where the past and present converge to showcase the evolution of a life in progress. Inspired by my TEDx talk, "I am a Prototype," this blog is part of a broader journey of transformation through journaling, capturing the essence of living as a perpetual prototype. Each week, during 2024, I reviewed my archives from 2016, contrasting journal scans filled with drawings against the backdrop of my current experiences.
Full Moon, Big Feels

Then: September 19-25, 2016
A few important points that week:
- I didn’t eat any chocolate on Tuesday (if it’s mentioned it’s because otherwise I ate chocolate every other day - wow, so much chocolate!)
- I watched the movie Notting Hill and now I live a 20min-walk away from Notting Hill
- Some good progress at work with 2 projects celebrations
- Some great inspiration for self care: manicure, crossfit, beach, spa and house cleaner - Did I already mention how much I miss those days?
- Oscar was sick, this was the beginning of a few vet visits and a surgery.
- The choice of stickers was quite excellent if I may say so myself
- A friend from high school visited Dubai and we spent some fun moments together

Now: September 23-29, 2024
This week has been incredibly intense. I’m not sure if it’s because of the full moon eclipse or something else, but I experienced major anxiety—mostly work-related—that left me almost completely frozen and led to a few sleepless nights.
Thankfully, I had some activities scheduled to take my mind off work. First, I went to see Bianca Del Rio, a drag queen insult comedian, and it was absolutely cathartic. (She’s incredibly rude and cruel, and now I’m wondering if laughing at her jokes makes me a bad person!) Then, on Thursday, I attended a 5Rhythms session—a beautiful dance practice I hadn’t been to in a while. Reconnecting with fellow dancers felt wonderful, and I decided to sign up for a two-day workshop in a couple of weeks. This movement practice is amazing because it allows me to “purge” anxiety and misplaced energy while rewriting a new story for myself. 5Rhythms is a global practice, and I encourage anyone to give it a try.
Lastly, during the weekend, I attended a two-day course with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies on the Power of Community. I met some lovely people and learned a lot.
Something a bit bizarre happened, though. Back in March, a friend connected me with a woman named Amanda, but we never ended up meeting. A couple of weeks ago, Amanda reached out, saying our mutual friend insisted we reconnect. So we scheduled a call for a couple of weeks later. Here’s the weird part: we were both at the same workshop this weekend! When I saw her, I had a feeling it might be her, but I wasn’t sure. During a break, I asked, “Do we have a call planned together next week?” and we laughed at the incredible synchronicity. We’re not sure what it means yet, but we’ll explore that soon.
During the workshop, I shared my integration cards with a few people, and one person was interested in buying a set. She suggested I laminate them, so I bought some adhesive lamination to try it out. I also received the packaging, which, as you can see below, matches the colors perfectly!
Overall, it was an emotionally challenging week, but it was also filled with moments of laughter and grace.
