Welcome to the Human Prototype blog, a space where the past and present converge to showcase the evolution of a life in progress. Inspired by my TEDx talk, "I am a Prototype," this blog is part of a broader journey of transformation through journaling, capturing the essence of living as a perpetual prototype. Each week, during 2024, I reviewed my archives from 2016, contrasting journal scans filled with drawings against the backdrop of my current experiences.
Modern Medicine

Then: March 21-27, 2016
The first thing that came to my mind as I read this week’s entry was the number of self-care/medical appointments. Steroid injection for a cyst, gastroenterologist appointment, dry needling for my upper back tight muscles (that, I remember vividly!), some yoga, breakfast smoothie and blood tests. And no Crossfit due to the ankle pain. I think I twisted my ankle whilst doing some skateboard on the way to Crossfit.
Again a bit of rain that week in Dubai, it’s so rare it deserves to be mentioned. Now that I live in London, it’s the opposite. A day without rain would be worth mentioning.
At work, projects started to materialize with some milestones achieved: sample production approved at a supplier for the Ramadan lantern as well as samples for another project. Sample week it was!
It’s fun to see projects moving along week by week.
No mention of the Human Centered design course this week and no social interaction mentioned, apart from Omar’s goodbye party on Monday.
Lastly a very sad memory of 2 colleagues who tragically died in a terrorist attack in Brussels.
Now: March 18-24, 2024

Hear the journey: There's a unique intimacy in spoken words—a warmth and immediacy that text alone may not convey. In my weekly audio commentary, I share reflections both deep and light-hearted, offering a companion piece to the visual and written narrative.
