Welcome to the Human Prototype blog, a space where the past and present converge to showcase the evolution of a life in progress. Inspired by my TEDx talk, "I am a Prototype," this blog is part of a broader journey of transformation through journaling, capturing the essence of living as a perpetual prototype. Each week, during 2024, I reviewed my archives from 2016, contrasting journal scans filled with drawings against the backdrop of my current experiences.

It seems I had a tough week emotionally. Feelings of frustration, anger, and sadness are evident in this spread. But there’s also resilience—possibly thanks to my meditation and CrossFit practice. And, of course, shopping and bubble tea helped too.
These tools still play a big role in 2025 as ways to restore my emotional balance. However, I’ve also learned to appreciate the full spectrum of emotions, sitting with them longer than I used to. Fewer distractions, more pain—but perhaps more beauty as well?
I’m beginning to embrace the darker emotions, seeing them as an opportunity to alchemize pain into beauty. There’s still a lot to reflect on here. I remember as a teenager, I used to draw, paint, and create prolifically. It was often a gateway for expressing pain, and I produced pieces that felt deeply special. Unfortunately, I let them go. Perhaps that’s what I’m trying to emulate again now—the ability to feel all the feels and channel them through creativity. Let’s see where this journey takes me.
I’m also proud to see my consistent meditation practice, even on weekends. I’m sure it helped lay the groundwork for my current spiritual practice. It’s easy to forget that the small, consistent steps we take today can become the foundation for something significant years later. Looking back, it’s clear how those moments of quiet dedication were planting seeds for the person I’m becoming.

The final week of the year was a quiet yet fulfilling one. Here are the highlights:
  • Spending Christmas Alone:
    • Opted to stay in London for the holidays, avoiding the anxiety of travel. It was a peaceful time to recharge and reflect.
  • Creative Flow:
    • Dedicated time to crafting mini altars—pocket-sized spiritual spaces for travel. This involved decorating small boxes with sacred elements and creating galaxy-themed designs with AI assistance. Assembling the pieces brought immense joy and a sense of accomplishment, fueling my creative energy.
  • Community Connection:
    • Reconnected with the Mindvalley community over the weekend, a warm and energizing experience. It was wonderful to share wisdom from my spiritual journey while also appreciating the growth and stories of others. This gathering felt like a much-needed battery recharge after a week of solitude.
